About Bosque Farms, NM - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The small, country community of Bosque Farms is about 20 miles outside of Albuquerque, situated along the twisting and turning route of the famous Camino Real, which follows the Rio Grande.  The greatest thing about living in New Mexico is that the climate is always gorgeous. Although minor seasonal fluctuations are seen, you will be hard pressed to find a use for a thick coat in this part of the world. .  The people in the area are some of the friendliest that you will ever meet and will be excited to share their unique local culture with you.  But, be warned, you will have to at least try green chile.  People around this part of the world put it on everything!

This part of the world has been a center for trade for centuries because of the river.  There are historic trading centers sprinkled throughout the Rio Grande valley. What is traditionally referred to as the Rio Abajo has attracted settlers and traders for centuries.  This low river valley provided access to trade and, of course, beautiful weather and views.  After the Depression, Bosque Farms was turned into an agricultural relocation project for Dust Bowl refugees who started dairy farms. But, the town was not officially incorporated until 1974.

Though the larger cities in this part of the state continue to grow, this area remains ostensibly intact and untouched by the heavy industrialization and commerce. These desert communities have retained a magic and historical beauty that can’t be found anyplace else in the country.  The tepid desert sun beats down on striking landscapes creating an outdoor experience you will have to see to understand.  The people are welcoming and laid-back, with strong ties to the Native American heritage of the area and a passion for local arts, culture and food.

Why so much talk about the green chile?  The warm desert climate makes chiles a widespread local delicacy that they put on, literally, everything - from a green chile burger to a green chile omelet to a green chile cocktail, you will see green chiles on every menu you read.  It adds a kick of spice and a local flair!  The fun of visiting this area is that it is so unique and special as compared to the rest of the country.  New Mexico natives love their home and love to share it, as well.  So, what are you waiting for?  Go check it out for yourself.
