About Los Lunas, NM - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Los Lunas is a village in Valencia County, New Mexico with a population of about 15,000.  The town’s name is a partial Anglicization of the name of the original settlers in the area, the Luna Family. The hot, dry desert weather makes it a great place for retirees, but it is equally livable for families and singles.   It is adjacent to Albuquerque, making it convenient to amenities like hospitals, schools and museums but retains a small town feel that we tend to desire when we head into the desert.

Looking for a dose of local culture, or to get inside out of the heat for a while?  The Luna Mansion is a fine dining restaurant, which was once the home of the town’s namesake family.  Today, the mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the lovingly restored building is beautifully decorated and preserved inside and out. They serve amazing local cuisine, including the local favorite – green chile.  They also serve some of the best steaks in the area and desserts fit for a king.  It is said to be haunted, though, so look out for spooky dining companions.

Looking for an outdoor adventure you won’t soon forget?  Tomé Hill is worth the drive. The countryside between Los Lunas and Belén is overlooked by this beautiful landmark along the El Camino Real.  It has been used as a sacred place, a safe haven from aggressive enemies and floods, and as a surveillance point since primitive eras. Almost 2,000 petroglyphs have been recorded on the hill, and a large steel monument called La Puerta del Sol, at the foot of the hill, was constructed to celebrate the varied cultures of the area.  Get out of the car, soak up the desert sun, and explore what this amazing local attraction has to offer.  You might just feel a kinship with the ones who have stood there before, for centuries and centuries.
